Weezer, Fall Out Boy And Blink 182 To Tour

Blink 182’s return to the live circuit sees them put together a tour consisting of three generations of guitar-pop masters.
Blink 182’s first tour since 2005 will see them share the stage with Weezer and Fall Out Boy. Although dates are yet to be confirmed, and it’s still unclear whether the tour will reach the UK, the jaunt is scheduled to kick off in the US on July 24.
Fall Out Boy and Weezer will divide the support slot, with Fall Out Boy playing two thirds of the tour and Weezer playing the remaining dates. On getting Weezer on board, Blink bass player Mark Hoppus told Rolling Stone,
“We started talking about bands to tour with and Weezer was actually one of the first ones that came up. They wanted to do the tour, and so did Fall Out Boy. It worked out perfectly.”
Hoppus also went on to say that Blink 182 were keen to show their ‘artistic’ side on this tour and have enlisted Daft Punk’s set designer to craft something special for their summer dates.
“We used to go on stage and forget our parts. This time we want to be more artistic. We really want the live show on this tour to be something nobody would ever expect from Blink.”
