U2 Confirmed For Glastonbury 2010

Worthy Farm announces its first big headliner for the 40th Anniversary bash...
The first headline band for Glastonbury 2010 has been announced... and it's U2!
Writing on the official festival website, Michael Eavis said: "The 26-year-old rumour has finally come true. At last, the biggest band in the world are going to play the best festival in the world! Nothing could be better for our 40th anniversary party. And there are even more surprises in the pipeline..."
The band will be rounding off their 360 Tour when they stop off at Worthy Farm for Glasto's 40th anniversary event between June 25 and 27 2010. The band will play the Friday night at the festival.
Tickets have already sold out, but there will be a chance to snap up the last remaining returned or cancelled tickets early next year.
