The White Stripes made their first public appearance in two year on Friday. The duo played the final ‘Late Night With Conan O’Brien’, a show where they’d previously staged a four-night residency.
The pair played old favourite, ‘We’re Going To Be Friends’, which saw Meg switch to electric guitar and backing vocals. Conan O’Brien, the show’s host, had the following to say:
“There was one band always at the top of my list. I wasn’t sure this could happen, I am personally very thrilled that we could make it happen this evening. Please welcome my good friends for many years, The White Stripes”.
