The Libertines To Reform Next Year?

Pete Doherty claims that the rest are the band are up for festival show... well, most of them.

Pete Doherty has revealed that he plans to reform The Libertines for some festival shows next year. The singer claims that bassist John Hassall and drummer Gary Powell are on board and it's only Carl Barat that has yet to agree to the reunion.

"It's going to happen you know," Doherty told the NME. "I spoke to John and he's well up for it." However, if Barat didn't sign-up, the singer claims that he'll replace him if necessary.

"Maybe I could reform The Libertines without him, like he did without me."

Barat, meanwhile, claimed back in May that he was keeping 2010 clear for any possible Libs activity, preferring to keep the rest of this year for his solo work.
