Brit Award Winners 2009

Elbow are Best British Group, Kings Of Leon scoop two gongs, but Duffy walks away with three as Coldplay leave with nothing..
Tonights Brit Awards saw Duffy win big in a night that was conspicuous by the absence of awards for Coldplay. On a far brighter note, Guy Garvey and Elbow won Best British Band, Paul Weller won Best British Male while long-toothed rockers Iron Maiden scooped Best Live Band.
It was a triumphant night for Kings Of Leon who won two awards on the night. They walked away with Best International Group and Best International Album for ‘Only By The Night’. The band also performed a storming version of ‘Use Somebody’.
The big winner of the night was Welsh songstress Duffy, who won three awards: Best British Breakthrough, Best British Female and Best British Album.
