The Boss Coaxes Kasabian Out Of Festival Exile

added 20 April 2009 at 11.20

The Leicester quintet will play Glastonbury at the behest of Bruce Springsteen – it will reportedly be their only festival show of the Summer.

Kasabian will play Glastonbury billed as ‘Special Guests’ of Bruce Springsteen. The Leicester fivesome will now appear before The Boss on Saturday, June 27. Kasabian had previously announced that they wouldn’t play any festivals this year but clearly hadn’t banked on getting the call from Springsteen.

As previously reported, the band will embark on a mammoth twenty date headline tour in June and July, taking in three nights at their hometown venue of Leicester De Montford Hall. Kasabian are also set to release their third album, ‘West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum’, on June 8.
