Steve Harris Meets Noel Gallagher
Just before Oasis's iTunes Festival appearance in July, our man Harris met the elder Gallagher and basically offered him a job. That could come in handy...
Oasis at the iTunes Festival... what a night. There was a classic bit of moody Liam, some great Noel singalongs and much fun was had by all. If reports are to be believed, it could be one of the last Oasis shows ever... at least with Noel in the band.
Speaking to Steve Harris before the show, Noel Gallagher gave another of his great interviews. He actually admitted he'd like to take up the offer of his own Xfm show... and he'd do it for free! "I've always thought between 2 and 4 in the morning would be great," he explained. "If you could swear. You give me that gig, those figures will be bigger than breakfast. We'd just peruse the papers and say, look at this toerag here. I'd do that for free!"
