John Lydon reforms post-punk pioneers for UK tour...

John Lydon has reformed his classic post-punk band Public Image Limited for some December shows... The project was Lydon's first work after the acrimonious split of the Sex Pistols in 1978 and has featured the singer working alongside the likes of Jah Wobble, Keith Levine and Magazine guitarist John McGeoch.

The latest incarnation of the band will feature Lu Edmonds of The Damned and Slits drummer Bruce Smith, who both played with Lydon back in 1986. The dates will be the first appearance of PiL since 1992's 'That What Is Not'.

The full tour itinerary is:

December 12 O2 Academy, Birmingham
December 16 O2 Academy, Leeds
December 18 O2 Academy, Glasgow
December 19 Academy, Manchester
December 21 O2 Academy, Brixton

Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday September 11 - see www.xfm.co.uk/gigs for more details.
