Noel Gallagher Slates "Cheeky" Fans

The Oasis man hits back at gig-goers who want a refund from their Heaton Park show...
Noel Gallagher has hit out at Oasis fans who are claiming a refund from their troubled Heaton Park show earlier this month. The Manchester gig had to be stopped for over half an hour when a problem with the power affected the stage just as the band started their headlining set. On the night, Gallagher told the audience, "This is a free gig - anybody who has kept their ticket will get a full refund."
However, on his blog, Noel has attacked fans who appear to be taking advantage of his generosity. "It seems that around 20,000 of you have asked for a refund from that night at Heaton Park," he wrote. "20,000! So you were genuinely disappointed? "I don't recall seeing a 20,000 gap in the crowd. Cheeky c***s.Tsk... some people."
It's estimated that refunding the 20,000 tickets would cost the band around £1 million.
STOP PRESS! A collection of fans have approached the North Western arm of music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins into suggesting that anyone who manages to get a refund out of Oasis should donate some or all of the money to the cause... of which Oasis are patrons!
Xfm listener Paul Jenkins says, "Noel obviously regrets his offer, so what a peacemaking deal for fans to be offered the chance to make a worthy contribution to a charity with which Oasis are familiar? We are calling on the music loving public to consider re-directing some or all of their returned funds to a charity....DIG OUT THEIR SOULS!"

I wasn't at the gig on the thursday and can see your point that he shouldn't have said it if he wasn't willing to give the refund. However from reading articles he said that when it didn't look like they were gonna be able to play a full set, something they later managed to do. I was there Saturday and dismiss your comments bout the shuttle buses, i was unable to get on 1 on the saturday when the gig finished on time and the had the same problem with the tram situation, i therefore opted to walk bak to the city centre with thousands of others. it wasn't the generator that ruined ya nite by the sounds of it, it was the journey home which is no fault of oasis or noel, plus come on 70,000 in 1 venue u got to expect that. do something good and donate ya money to the above charity!

to be fair the gig was awesome, dissapointed enemy want their and if there hadnt have been any problems with 'the generator' (that never cut out on any of the other bands playin may i add) leaving the gig to run over its scheduled time i wouldnt have asked for a refund. And the shuttle busses running from heaton back to manchester would refused to let people on them instead of us having to wait for a tram every 7 minutes it was like queing for a ride at alton towers. then waiting for a taxi back to home. 1 hour 30 mins it took. overall it took a tireing4 hours to finally get home, thats why im getting the refund!! He shouldnt have offered the refunds if hes going to be so hypacrytical about it!! still love oasis but the guy shouldnt be slating us for his problems!!
