Julian Casablancas suggests that the band won't go back in the studio...

Julian Casablancas has hinted that despite some high profile shows lined up, it's unlikely that we'll see a new Strokes album next year.

The band - who are headlining the Isle of Wight Festival and Rockness next year - have featured in a lot of album of the decade polls recently for their debut 'Is This It?'...

However, talking to The Scotsman, Julian said: "I really dig people are remembering our first album and it's figuring in these best-of-decade polls, but sadly that's not going to get us back into the studio."

His new solo album, 'Phrazes For The Young', was released in November.
