No Bowie For Glastonbury

The Dame disappoints, but Muse will "probably" play...
As the Glastonbury rumour mill revs up a gear, there's bad news for fans of David Bowie. The Thin White Duke was hotly tipped to make an appearance at the 40th anniversary event next June, having played the inaugural festival back in 1970. There was even a story on the Daily Mail's website on Friday (November 27) claiming that the superstar would be making his third appearance there in 2010.
However, Bowie (or possibly his "people") have posted on BowieNet that, "Sadly, there is absolutely no substance to this story."
Meanwhile, the likelihood of Muse playing next year's Glasto has been given an extra boost thanks to Jonathan Ross. The trio appeared on his BBC chat show at the weekend and in response to a Tweet asking whether they would be doing the Worthy Farm trip next summer, Wossy replied: "Didn't chat to them on the show, but Matt told me they are probably doing it."
