Nirvana and Courtney Slam Guitar Hero

Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl criticise Guitar Hero while Courtney threatens legal action.
A storm has erupted over the use of a Kurt Cobain avatar in the new version of the Guitar Hero video game. Courtney love claims game developer Activision are in breech of contract while Grohl and Novoselic are ‘dismayed and very disappointed’ at how the late Nirvana singer is used.
It’s reported that Courtney Love is now threatening legal action over the move, which sees Cobain lip-synching to the catalogue of songs on the game. In a Twitter tirade, Love said:
"[I] never signed off on the avatar, let alone this fucking feature!...There's been four breaches of a very strict contract."
Activion, however, are maintaining they’ve acted legally, claiming that Love worked closely on the game with them.
"Courtney supplied us with photos and videos," said Activision vice president Tim Riley. "She picked the wardrobe and hairstyle, which turned out to be the 'Teen Spirit' look”
