Morrissey Throws Fan Out Of Show

German Moz -lover is ejected from Hamburg concert...

There's been more fun and games on Morrissey's current European tour. Mozzer had an audience member thrown out of the a gig in Hamburg... apparently after they swore at him.

In the midst of an extended anecdote about whether he should address the audience as "Hamburgers" or "Hamburgers", a punter apparently cried out "Go fuck yourself!" in the direction of the former Smiths frontman.

Morrissey then challenged the fan as to why he made the comment - "You made a joke about us" said the young German, on the microphone. "Why don't you just go?" asked the singer, "In fact, you can leave and you can fuck yourself."

The audience member was then escorted from the premises, despite protesting "But I love you!"

Inevitably, the whole thing was captured and uploaded to YouTube, so here it is:

Part 1: Moz winds up "I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris" and challenges his foul-mouthed assailant:

Part 2: The heavies have the lad thrown out.

It's been a turbulent tour for the Mancunian legend - his show at Liverpool's Echo Arena on November 7 was halted two songs in after a plastic cup of beer hit the Morrissey noggin and several shows this year have been blighted by illness.

  1. The Smiths are my favorite band by a long shot, but this is so out of order!

  3. Its not a crude joke or anything. People from Britain are called Britishers, so why can't people from Hamburg be called "Hamburgers"? I don't think its an offense, ad Morissey obviously didn't ''mean'' to make fun, probably lighten the mood.

I'm glad he threw him out, but I admit it was a little harsh. "Gooo boy!"

  4. Morrissey is such a twat. What, he can make a joke about a whole city but can't take a joke about himself. Nice, very childish behaviour. He should have stayed retired, who wants his music anyway.

  5. Come back to the States, Moz. You're always treated well here.

And if you come to Indianapolis again, that would be fantastic.

  6. I remember (along with my wife) telling a friend of ours, in a canadian metal band, that the singer seemed too nice. "He really ought to have a minor drinking/drug problem or other turmoil in his life" - thus being a more firery presence on stage.
The one's with that wee bit of fire in their bellies (for whatever reason) are the interesting ones to watch/listen too.
Where exactly that spills over the edge into a REAL problem for the musician or singer, freezing their careers is a real conundrum! ;)
