Morrissey Blasts Critics

The be-quiffed legend hits back at his critics. “Why don’t they just wrap up and go away?”, says Moz.
Morrissey has spectacularly hit back at his critics, saying they very rarely mention his music. Their focus, says the ex-Smiths legend, is squarely on him.
“I don’t mind if it’s valid criticism, but it never is”, said Morrissey to Xfm DJ Ian Camfield. “It’s always absolutely stupid. Whenever there’s a review of an album that I’ve made, they don’t ever review the album, or the songs or the musicianship. They just review me”.
Morrissey also felt that it was the same people who repeatedly criticised him. Unsurprisingly, he had a few strong words for those in question.
“I’m criticised so often, but I’m criticised by the same people year after year. I wonder why they don’t just wrap up and go away, but they don’t. It seems to me there’s something enjoyable about somebody who you constantly criticise. Perhaps you can’t stand them but you enjoy criticising them”.
Finally, Morrissey had a perfectly rational explanation for constantly being in the firing line:
“It’s inevitable if you have your own opinions in a business sphere where people don’t have any. You’re bound to be seen as argumentative or troublesome, which I’m not. It just seems that way”.
