Michael Eavis To Personally Pay Springsteen Fine

The farmer will be coughing up after The Boss overran by nine minutes.

Michael Eavis is going to be out of pocket after this year's Glastonbury - to the tune of £3,000. The organiser of the festival will have to pay a fine after Saturday night headliner Bruce Springsteen overran his slot - by a mere nine minutes.

The Boss finished his two and a half hour set at around 12.40am this morning (Sunday June 28), breaking the curfew imposed by the local council. However, Eavis said he was happy to stump up the cash.

"I gave him 10 minutes and he took nine," he told reporters at his traditional Sunday morning press conference. I'll pay the fine. It's £3,000. Paul McCartney paid me back. I'm going to pay the Bruce Springsteen one myself. It's not a lot because it was fantastic. The last nine minutes were spectacular."

  1. ok m8, the curfew was broken ... Think of all the all the GOOD work Micheal + Glasto has brought 2everybody :-) It will be very kind of ya 2drop the fine, considering there is so much crap wiv our government at present time. Imposing the fine will only turn public against the Council.
