With new material on the way, the Welsh rockers have been confirmed as second stage headliners at Reading and Leeds.

Lostprophets will bring the ‘rock’ to Reading and Leeds this year as second stage headliners. It will be the first time fans will get to hear new material from the band’s as-yet-untitled fourth album.

According to a post on the band’s MySpace, the recording has now been completed and is now in the process of getting mixed. A statement said:

"It is by far the finest, darkest and most real album we have commited to vinyl. The sleeping giant has opened his one eye, and is begining to stir”

The band are yet to confirm their drummer for the festival appearance after former sticksman Ilan Rubin quit to join Nine Inch Nails.

Lostprophets play Leeds on Saturday, August 29 and Reading on Sunday, August 30.
