Little Boots And Jarvis Go Blue For Climate Change Campaign

They're just some of the stars helping Oxfam this summer...

Jarvis Cocker, Little Boots, The Kooks and The View are just some of the artists who have painted themselves blue for a new campaign against climate change. The initiative is to be launched by Oxfam at Glastonbury this weekend and is encouraging festival-goers to raise awareness of the situation by painting themselves blue when they head out for the summer.

The campaign's aim is to urge the government to take action, particularly when world leaders meet in December to discuss the new global climate deal. The pictures, taken by legendary photographer Rankin, will form part of a video to be played on the main screens at Glastonbury.

"Doing nothing is not the answer to fighting climate change," says Little Boots. "Go blue, demand that the Prime Minister takes the lead in protecting the people of this beautiful planet and kiss goodbye to climate change. If everyone does their bit we can save the planet."

Also involved in the campaign are Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly., Fatboy Slim, Editors' Tom Smith and VV Brown. For more information, see www.oxfam.org.uk.
