Listen Again To The New Wombats Single

Xfm and The Wombats’ Murph present the first play of ‘My Circuit Board City’. You can listen back and tell us what you think right now.

Steve Harris played the new Wombats’ single, ‘My Circuit Board City’ last night. The song is released on 23rd February and may well feature on the band’s second album, expected to drop this year.

Lead Wombat Murph joined Steve for a quick chat before playing the song. Speaking from Sofia airport in Bulgaria, he said that the single was originally slated to be a stop-gap between the first and second album.

“It was intended to be a standalone single but it got pushed back ‘til now. It was supposed to come out in November. I’m really proud of it, but it depends on how many other good songs I write, really”.

Progress on the second album, said Murph, was also continuing apace:

“We’re just writing and we’ve a few new songs here and there. It’s going to be this year hopefully, it’s just a matter of when and how fast we move along with it”.

  1. It's OK, no particular wow factor but pleasing enough :)

  2. Absolute guff. Might not sound like the first album, but still as bad.

  3. I love it! They sound all grown up. It's catchy but not in the arguably annoying way their previous has been. A bit Weezer-y in places, very exciting! Can't wait to hear that second album...
