Plus, tickets are almost gone for this year's event...

A handful of acts have been added to this year's Great Escape festival in Brighton. The three-day event, which takes place next weekend (May 14-16) will now see performances from Scandinavian popsters Peter Bjorn and John, Maps, Plugs, Dead Kids and Man Like Me.

They will be playing alongside acts like Kasabian, Gang of Four, British Sea Power, The Maccabees, Lightspeed Champion, The Black Lips, The Charlatans, Patrick Wolf, Mystery Jets, Noah and the Whale and Enter Shikari.

The event sees a stack of shows and industry panels across over 30 different venues in the seaside town. Tickets to the Great Escape 2009 have almost sold out and wristbands for the festival are available now from www.escapegreat.com.

Xfm are curating three shows this year - see www.xfm.co.uk/greatescape for full details.
