La Roux To Team Up With 80s Legends?

Plus, Elly claims she "feels sorry" for Little Boots...
La Roux's Elly Jackson says that the band are considering a collaboration with a classic band from the 1980s - Heaven 17. "Glen Gregory, the lead singer, heard I was a fan and has been in touch," Elly told The Daily Star. "We email each other a lot. We finally met at an awards do recently, he’s lovely."
The electro-pioneers were formed in 1981 by former members of the original Human League and went on to have hits with 'Temptation' and 'Crushed By The Wheels Of Industry'.
"Greg and Ben [Langmaid, Jackson's co-writer] are going to meet up to have a coffee and discuss some things. We’ll see what happens."
However, if a electro-pop-clash-mash-up does occur, it'll be a one-off. "We've been asked to write some things for other people but I don’t think we will at the moment. I find it a bit unfocused of artists to collaborate with people so early on."
Meanwhile, Elly has expressed concern for fellow synth diva Little Boots, who apparently is undergoing something of a backlash since her debut album came out after much critical acclaim in the early part of the year. "The reaction she got was so unfair," said the Rouxster. "Hype can be a very dangerous thing, it can accelerate people's expectations. We felt the same about our album but we have got away with it."
