John Squire Responds To Reunion Rumours
The fomer Stone Rose finally breaks his silence with a pretty definitive comment...
John Squire has finally broken his silence about the Stone Roses... in his own inimitable fashion. Visitors to the guitarist's website www.johnsquire.com today were confronted with a message that had been virtually scrawled over what appears to be a rusty metal box.
The message reads: "I HAVE NO DESIRE WHATSOEVER TO DESECRATE THE GRAVE OF SEMINAL MANCHESTER POP GROUP THE STONE ROSES."
The message is dated 18.3.09... the day after the story of a Stone Roses reunion appeared in The Mirror. The paper claimed that the band would be reuniting for a series of "21 summer shows", plus a possible appearance at the Coachella festival in the States. Although both Squire and Ian Brown's management denied the story, this is the first official comment from an actual member of the band.
There are still no updates from Reni, by the way.
