Jet Singer Collapses On Stage

...Meaning tonight's Evening With at Xfm is unfortunately off.

Jet singer Nic Cester collapsed onstage last night (August 10) during a show in London. The Aussie band were in town to play a promotional show for their new album 'Shaka Rock' at the Hard Rock Cafe, but had to cut the set short when Cester fell ill.

The singer had felt unwell all day, but took to the stage anyway. After the second song - new single 'She's A Genius' - he passed out. Nic got up on his feet and jokingly told the audience he had swine flu before collapsing for a second time.

After the elder Cester brother was helped offstage, the rest of the band performed three more songs, before calling time on the show, which was being held by Q magazine. Nic spent the night in University College Hospital and has been treated for gastroenteritis, acute vomiting and dehydration, according to a spokesman.

The band were due in Xfm tonight (August 11) for Xfm's An Evening With session, which has now been postponed and will be rescheduled for a future date. Xfm wishes Nic a speedy recovery.
