The White Stripes/Dead Weather man talks to Trinity College...

Jack White discussed music and philosophy with students at an impromptu lecture at Dublin's Trinity College on Sunday night (October 18). White was made an honorary patron of the Trinity College Philosophical Society and took part in a 40-minute question and answer session.

"I've been patronised in lots of different ways, but never like this!" he told Irish music mag Hot Press.

The Dead Weather, Raconteurs and White Stripes guitarist also revealed details of ANOTHER band he recorded with, called The Upholsterers. Apparently a load of EPs recorded with the former band are hidden in 100 pieces of furniture he upholstered while working in Detroit.

Meanwhile The Dead Weather are already halfway through recording their second album - singer Alison Mosshart says she's planning on returning to Nashville to finish the record with White in December.
