Interpol Frontman Goes Solo

Paul Banks is to release his own album... but not as Paul Banks.

Interpol frontman Paul Banks is to release his debut solo album later this year... but he's not using his real name. The record, entitled 'Skyscraper', will be let loose this summer under the "Julian Plenti" moniker.

According to Billboard, Banks has been recording under the Plenti name for several years, with some of the tracks dating back more than a decade. The album is said to have a "cocky, sexy" feel and is to be released on August 4.
