Guns N’ Roses Deny Two Year Tour Plans

added 05 January 2009 at 10.46

Apparently guitarist Richard Fortus never said the band would embark on a two year global runaround after all…

Last week we reported Fortus notified Illinois paper The Telegraph, “Late March should bring the GN’R tour, which likely will last at least two years.”

However, the rhythm guitarist has now denied he made the comments, telling heavy metal site Blabbermouth he was “misquoted”.

Fortus stated: “I never said that Guns N’ Roses would be playing St. Louis, nor did I say that we will be doing free shows or that we are starting a two year tour in March.”

Hmm. Oh, wait, there’s more. “Selective hearing. Never said it,” he added.

Hmm. Selective hearing or selective denying he said it when he actually did? Will we ever discover the original sound recording in a Jack Bauer-kinda mission? Or will it be years before we see Axl’s freakishly braided ponytail (pictured) on stage before us?
