Guitarist Quits Reverend And The Makers

Tom Jarvis quits the band. Tom Rowley from Milburn fills in. The indie scene of Sheffield is back on track…
Frontman Jon ‘The Reverend’ McClure revealed the reason behind Jarvis’ departure was that the guitarist had “had enough”, making way for former Milburn guitarist Tom Rowley to fill in.
McClure told NME: “It’s a shame because his (Jarvis) guitars are mental on the new record. But now Tom Rowley is joining – he is cool, and in lots of ways one of the guys who got the whole Sheffield scene started.
“People have love in their hearts for him up north, and me and him together have something amazing. I want to get on album three straight away as he’s a genius.”
In a recent interview with Xfm, The Rev stated the forthcoming record from his side-project, Mongrel, “defines the sound of Great Britian”.
The second album from Reverend And The Makers, ‘A French Kiss In The Chaos’, is due later this year.
