Singer reveals why she covered the classic dance tune...

Florence Welch has told Xfm why she decided to cover the classic dance anthem 'You've Got The Love' for her debut album 'Lungs'.

"Last Bestival - not the Bestival just been, the one before that - we were playing in the dance tent and we were the last band on and it was going to be our last show of the festival season," she explains. "I was just trying to think of a way to round it all off. I've had so many moments to that song, whether you were dancing in a kitchen, or dancing in a club. We played it and it was one of the most euphoric moments of my entire life."

The 1991 version of the track mashed up Candi Station's 1986 vocal with Frankie Knuckles and Jamie Principle's house classic 'Your Love' and has been also covered by Friendly Fires.

Meanwhile, Florence And The Machine play an incredibly intimate set at London's 100 Club tonight (November 17) as part of Xfm's Live Sessions With Barclaycard Unwind.

"The last London show I played was probably Shepherd's Bush," laffs Flo. "We've been away touring America and France, so it's going to be nice to come back to the centre of London and do a really small show."

Xfm.co.uk will have video, photos and interviews from the show - keep checking back later this week!
