Florence And The Machine Get The Fear

Being tipped as the big thing for 2009 must be quite daunting which is why we caught up with THE big thing for 2009, Florence Welch to aks her how it feels to be hyped up by the likes of Johnny Borrell.
Speaking from a charity shop looking at neon tweed skirts, Florence And The Machine caught up with Xfm's Steve Harris to talk about working with Johnny Borrell and the year ahead.
On working with the Razorlight singer, Florence explains that:
"It's just always been fun. I did that with Johnny quite a while ago. If you know people who are more experienced than you in the music insustry and they're interested in what you're doing it's really fun. It doesn't matter whether you're an established artist or someone who is just starting, musicians should play together. It's about having fun and making music together."
With hype coming from Mr Borrell himself and the music press, Florence told Xfm that 2008 was great but 2009 is pretty scary:
"Last year was amazing. The summer was a lot of fun followed by a massive amount of fear. I got the fear really badly over Christmas but I think I'm ok now. I had a moment over Christmas going oh my God what's happening because in the summer I just got swept up in all the festivals and had the most amazing time, and then you realise you've got to start the next year".
