Fall Out Boy "Not Splitting"

Pete Wentz claims that the "hiatus" stories have been exaggerated...
Fall Out Boy are to take an extended break... but that doesn't mean the band are splitting, says frontman Pete Wentz. The panic started when drummer Andy Hurley Tweeted that the band was on hiatus - which many fans of the emo rockers took to mean they were calling it a day.
"I don't think I would use the word 'hiatus' because I think that word has gotten a dirty name, especially if you say 'indefinite hiatus,' " he told MTV. "I wouldn't use the word 'breakup' because that's not true. It's a break — we're decompressing. I'm making a new term for it: we're decompressing right now."
The split rumours were fuelled by the fact that the band's Greatest Hits collection, 'Believers Never Die' hit the shops this week (November 16).
