Drums Of The Day #3

added 10 March 2009 at 13.17

U2's hymn to the drudgery of the weekend (or was it a murderous interlude in Northern Ireland?) - 'Sunday Bloody Sunday'.

The opening track from the album 'War' gives Larry Mullen Jr ample opportunity to use all the tricks he learnt at band practice at school. This version of the strident tale of the Troubles comes from the band's legendary appearance at Live Aid in 1985. Larry later suffered from arthritis because he was hitting the drums too hard. But thankfully, he's still at it today.
