Dave Gahan Rushed To Hospital

The Depeche Mode frontman throws a sickie just before a show in Athens...
Depeche Mode had to cancel a show in Greece last night (May 12), after frontman Dave Gahan fell ill in the dressing room. The 47-year old singer was rushed to hospital in Athens with suspected gastroenteritis.
According to the BBC, a Mode spokesman took to the stage to tell the crowd, "Dave is not well, we have had a doctor in to see him backstage and unfortunately the advice from the doctor is that Dave cannot perform. He is on his way to the hospital now for a check-up. I apologise on behalf of Dave and Depeche Mode. He asked me to pass on my apologies to you all."
The show at the city's Terra Vibe Park was only the third date in the band's 'Tour Of The Universe'. The Mode camp hope that Gahan will be well enought ot perform tomorrow night in Istanbul.
