Blur’s Future In Doubt

Drummer Dave Rowntree casts a shadow of doubt over future Blur activities by admitting he’s likely to become a lawyer after their reunion tour.
Future Blur activities may be in doubt after drummer Dave Rowntree told the Independent he’s hoping to continue his burgeoning legal career after the band’s summer tour.
The Blur drummer had been training to become a barrister before the band got back together. He’d also been doing work experience at a legal firm in London.
“I go in three times a week”, Rowntree told the Independent. “Hopefully I can go and work there when I'm finished with the Blur tour."
His statements cast severe doubts over his future with the band, and indeed the band’s future activities past the reunion dates.
