Blur Named "Best Festival Peformance"

The band's return to Glastobury was 2009's highlight...
Blur's headlining slot at this year's Glastonbury was named the "Best Headline Performance" of 2009 at the UK Festival Awards yesterday (November 19). The Britpop legends, who played the festival for the first time since 1998, were said to have "ticked all the boxes" for a headliner.
Glastonbury itself was also feted at the ceremony as "Best Major Festival", while "Best Medium Sized" was given to Bestival. The troubled Beach Break Live, which had to move its location in Cornwall at the eleventh hour this year, triumphed with the "Best Small Festival" gong, while Sonisphere enjoyed being touted at the best new event.
