Basement Jaxx Announced As First Wireless Headliners

The London dance legends come home for a massive dance party. The Streets and Dizzee Rascal line up with them.

Basement Jaxx have been announced as Wireless’s first headline act. They will close the four day event on Saturday, July 4, the festival’s traditional ‘dance’ day. The Brixton-based duo, who headlined the first ever Wireless, had the following to say.

Frank Sinatra once said "It's very nice to go traveling but it's so much nicer to come home" and he was right. It's going to be a mad summer for us, playing in all four corners of the world, but we are really looking forward to coming back to the very heart of London and playing at Wireless.”

The Streets have been confirmed as second stage headliners on the same night. Dizzee Rascal has been lined up for a main stage slot, which he’s also particularly happy with:

"I’m really excited about it, to be doing something so big in my hometown - its going to be a good one".

Tickets go on sale at 9am on February 18. An early bird price of £40 applies to tickets for a limited time.
