Ash Plan 'A To Z' Tour

Alphabetical inclinations for singles AND shows..

Power punk trio Ash are to apply an A-Z theme to their forthcoming tour and series of singles. Rather than release a new album, the band will issue 26 singles every two weeks over the next year, beginning with  'True Love 1980' in October.

'The A-Z Series' will be accompanied by a similarly-themed tour that will kick off in Aldershot, and ending in the village of Zennor.

“The way people listen to music has changed, with the advent of the download the emphasis has reverted to single tracks," says frontman Tim Wheeler. "It hasn't helped that most people have forgotten how to make a decent album. I'm constantly disappointed with records I buy."

Matching up the tour to the theme alphabetically hopes to maintain the momentum of the project and will hopefully tie up the lose-ends, with live previews of songs to come over the touring period, and keep interest in the series at a high.
