Ting Tings To Stay As Duo!

The Ting Tings' Jules Di Martino has revealed that he's perfectly happy with the group remaining as a duo for the foreseeable future. The drummer told The Daily Star that he and guitarist/singer Katie White were not thinking of getting in any back up for their September enormotour.

"We get a bit of flak for just being a duo and not having a bassist," he said. "But I think less is more.Being in a duo you have that feeling that you have to give 110% every night, you can't have a bad gig or rely on anyone else except yourself."

"We're fans of bands like The White Stripes and The Dresden Dolls, who are a duo but have enormous energy," he continued. "Even Nirvana, who admittedly had three members, made a big noise."

Since the release of the band's debut album, 'We Started Nothing', and their sudden launch into the big time, Di Martino claims that the legendarily hard-partying Salford scenesters have calmed down a bit. "We used to keep going till 10am but now we're on the road we have to be sensible and have a few early nights," he mused.
