The Maccabees Bring The Trumpets In For New Album
After the success of their first album, The Maccabees are upping the ante with their new album by bringing in every musician's trusted friend, the trumpet.
The Maccabees have revealed to Xfm that there is a new album on the way and it will be full of new sounds. We caught up with Orlando and Felix at Get Loaded on Clapham Common, where the lads actually met playing football many years ago, who explained the plan for what's next. "We're gonna start doing some recording and get on with the record...we've got about five new songs," explained Orlando.
The band will also be upping their instrument count with some new additions as Felix explained, "It's just gonna be better, it won't be the same as the first one. Orlando has been talking about trumpets for about 8 months, so there will be trumpets and didgeridoos. We're just gonna go world music on it, big time." We can't bloody wait.
