The Killers Play Surprise Charity Show

Brandon Flowers and co perform an unannounced acoustic set at the first of Mencap's Little Noise Sessions in London.

The Killers made a surprise appearance at the first of Mencap's Little Noise Sessions last night (November 8). The band opened the show, which also featured Glasvegas, White Lies and Cage The Elephant, with an acoustic three-song set to the obvious delight of the crowd at Islington's Union Chapel. Opening with a gorgeous version of the new single 'Human' (complete with Brandon Flowers on piano and accompanied by violin), before moving on to the 'Hot Fuss'-era classic 'Smile Like You Mean It'. The brief set ended with a special treat - a lively version of the 1986 Cyndi Lauper hit, 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun'.

The Mencap Little Noise Sessions continue tonight (November 9) with a show from Razorlight, followed by the Stereophonics (November 10), Biffy Clyro (12), Kasabian (14) and Keane (15). The shows are held to benefit people with learning disabilities and more special guests are expected - last year's event saw an impromptu performance from U2.
