Supergrass, Reverend, And Babyshambles Launch New Single

added 28 April 2008 at 11.11

A menagerie of indie favourites: including Supergrass, Reverend & The Makers, Babyshambles and New Young Pony Club are launching the new Crisis charity single 'Consequences' in London tonight (April 28).

The selection of artists, who all feature on the charity track 'Consequences', are gathering together for a record signing at Rough Trade East in town tonight.

With the single's creation inspired by the kids' game 'consequences' (draw a head, fold the paper over, pass it on, draw a chest etc...c'mon you remember!) each musician contributed a stand-alone part to the song (drums/ bass/ guitars/ vocals etc) without any knowledge of what had been laid down before (watch the exclusive video of the artists in action).

Pearl Lowe, the chartiy Crisis' ambassador will be joined by her partner Danny Goffey (Supergrass) alongside The Reverend (without his makers), Babyshambles' Drew McConnell and New Young Pony Club, who will also be playing a game of Consequences with fans taking home the artistic creations.

The track itself - which as well as the aforementioned artists also features Beth Ditto (Gossip), The Enemy, Paul Weller, Graham Coxon, Andy Rourke (The Smiths) and Ed Harcourt.

Celebrated producer Paul Epworth helped create some method from the madness of the recording process.

  1. I went to the gig! Wicked, infectious tune. Gutted I missed the signing. Is it true the superband is playing Glasto this year?
