Snow Patrol Front Man To Launch His Own Record Label

added 14 October 2008 at 11.10

Gary Lightbody will be 'chasing artists' for his very own record label, after being given the green light by the Universal Group.

The bosses at Snow Patrol's label, Fiction, which is part of the Universal Group, will let Lightbody sign artists and release their music through his own as-yet-untitled sub-company, so reports The Sun.

His first signing is rumoured to be Bangor singer/songwriter Iain Archer, who formed a side-project with Lightbody known as the Reindeer Section back in the day, and was once a secondary lyricist for Snow Patrol.

Meanwhile, the soft rock kings release new album 'A Hundred Million Suns' on October 27, but more importantly don't forget all week you've got the once-in-a-lifetime chance to fly in a private jet with the band.
