Exclusive: Santogold - Music Biz Rough On Women
As her debut eponymous album is released, Santi White - that's Santogold to you - has spoken in an exclusive interview with Xfm of how hard the music biz in on female artsists as well as offering survival tips.
"It's been rough as a women, definitely," said Santi, "and I've learned over the years how to deal with it and it really is something [women] need to learn if [they're] going to navigate these waters."
She continued by offering the following advice to any aspiring female artists: "The first thing you need is to know what you're doing and what you're talking about and how to communicate that clearly...and I've learned enough of those things."
