REM Mix It Up At Apple

Alt rock vets REM used last night's low-key show at the Apple Store in London to mix rarities with new material. As well their new album, 'Accelerate', fans were treated to songs from 'Murmur' and 'Lifes Rich Pageant'.
Playing their second London date of the week, REM treated fans to eight songs from their forthcoming album, out next Monday (March 31), as well as offering rare sightings of 'West Of the Fields' from 1983 debut, 'Murmur', 'Auctioneer (Another Engine)' from 1985's 'Fables Of The Reconstruction' and 'Fall On Me' from 1986's 'Lifes Rich Pageant'.
The 500 fans - including Xfm competition winners - who filled the relatively cosy environs of Regent Street's Apple Store were also given the chance to choose between 'Man On The Moon' and 'Losing My Religion' with the former winning it by a whisker.
'Accelerate' yielded 'Hollow Man', 'Living Well Is The Best Revenge', 'Man Sized Wreath' and current single, 'Supernatural Superserious'.
