Radiohead Confuse Elbow

What Radiohead did with the release of their last album 'In Rainbows' caused endless discussions between musos everywhere but it all leaves Elbow's frontman rather bemused.

Last night (March 6) Radioheads' managers won an award for the groundbreaking method in which the band released 'In Rainbows'.

Bryce Edge and Chris Hufford were named the 'Innovators Of The Year' at the first Media Guardian Awards after they came up with the pay-what-you-like concept.  However, Elbow's frontman Guy Garvey's a bit confused:

"I absolutely thought it was a great gesture but the other week I went online and you can buy the songs individually on iTunes now so they kinda made a statement and then went back on it.  I don't really understand what they did there."

Alan McGee of Primal Scream and The Charlatans managerial fame added:

"I actually really love Radiohead's attitute, it's the first record I've liked from them since 'The Bends' and it's absolutely similar to what I believe and what Tim Burgess believes."

McGee added that he would rather be with Cooking Vinyl than a major record label anyday and by giving away The Charlatans tenth studio album 'You Cross My Path' for free - (with record succes we'll have you know) via our very own website - it seems this is the way forward for those more established bands.

Even more innovative is that we are giving 'You Cross My Path' away for free here!
