Pete Doherty In Crushed Camera Cash Pay-Out
Relax, fans… he’s not going to prison again. But will the law ever leave the Babyshambles man alone?
This week’s Pete Doherty non-story: the Babyshambles front man has admitting to smashing a photographer’s camera. The incident, which took place in Crewkerne, Somerset last August kicked off when snapper Catherine Mead was following Doherty and his then-girlfriend Irina Lazareanu around the town. The former Libertine then chased the pap into a shop and grabbed the camera.
Doherty was ordered to pay £918.27 in compensation, plus £100 in costs. Considering Pete is considered to be a bit strapped for cash, this new is probably not good for the troubled singer.
