Oxfam Supports Xfm's Winter Wonderland

Gigs will raise money for new charity partner for Xfm's biggest gigs of the year...
Oxfam and Xfm today announced a new partnership that sees Oxfam become Xfm's charity partner for its flagship Winter Wonderland shows in December.
The hottest live music ticket in December, Winter Wonderland is Xfm's annual series of live shows, which bring the year to an end with big names and up-and-coming stars sharing the stage. This year, Winter Wonderland will raise tens of thousands of pounds for Oxfam's vital work in more than 70 countries worldwide.
The line-up for this year's Winter Wonderland shows in London and Manchester will be announced on Xfm on Monday 3 November at 8am.
Stars of previous Winter Wonderland events include Bloc Party, Kasabian, Stereophonics, Manic Street Preachers, and Oxfam supporters The Kooks and Editors.
Oxfam and Xfm worked together for the first time last year on the fundraising music festival Oxjam.
Gareth Simpson, head of events and community fundraising at Oxfam, said: “Through Oxjam and our work across the summer festivals, Oxfam has always had very close links with music fans, and we're delighted to be working with Xfm to take this further.”
Mike Walsh, Head of Music at Xfm, said: “Bringing together the stars of tomorrow and today’s hottest bands, this year’s Winter Wonderland gigs promise to be bigger and better than ever. We’re delighted that Winter Wonderland will raise awareness and funds for Oxfam’s vital work both in this country and around the world.”
