Morrissey Vs NME: Round 2

The ongoing battle between Morrissey and the NME took a new and fresh twist when the former Smiths frontman had the magazine's editor Conor McNicolas removed from an L.A. hotel. Sadly for Mozzer, things didn't go to plan...
It turns out that the pair - soon to be locking legal horns over an article that the NME ran last December - were due to be staying in the same L.A. hotel as each other. Coincidence? Fate? Who can tell?
What can be revealed is that Morrissey, learning of the editor's presence, attempted to have McNicholas ejected. Morrissey's manager, Merck Mercuriadis explained:
"I have a very good relationship with the hotel, and when I explained the situation they agreed it would not be appropriate for Conor to stay."
Alas, according the NME at least, things didn't go according to plan when McNicholas was apparantly moved to a better suite.
A spokeperson for the NME said: "Thanks to Morrissey's people, Conor got upgraded to a penthouse in a sister hotel."
Quite where the truth lies is anybody's guess, but as hors d'oeuvres to the main course waiting to be served in court, this'll do just fine.

Typical NME response - Almost child like really "Thanks to Morrissey's people, Conor got upgraded to a penthouse in a sister hotel". The equivalent to getting a knock back from a girl you like, then claiming to have had sex with her better looking best friend just to claw back some self respect.
No matter the outcome of this court case! I find it sad that what once was a respected music magazine has lowered itself to the standard of a tabloid rag with its edited journalism and “build you up to knock you down” techniques. Just to sell units, shame on them.
