At 8.15 this morning, Xfm's Sir Alex Zane played the new Oasis single for all the land to hear. 'The Shock Of Lightning' is the first taster of their seventh album ‘Dig Out Your Soul’ and is due for release on September 29. The single also comes packaged with b-side ‘Falling Down’, a Chemical Brothers remix of another of the album’s tracks.

The band have also announced that they will be touring after releasing 'Dig Out Your Soul' so make sure you catch them at one of these dates:

October 10-11- Sheffield Arena
October 13-14 - Birmingham NIA
October 16-17 - London Wembley Arena
Ocotber 20-21 - Bournemouth BIC
October 23-24 - Cardiff International Arena
October 29-30- Belfast Odyssey Arena
November 1-2 - Aberdeen Exhibition Centre
November 4-3 - Glasgow SECC

Tickets for the tour go on sale at 9am (BST) on Wednesday August 20.
