Liam Gallagher: "Coldplay And Radiohead Fans Are Ugly"

The Oasis man takes another pot shot at the dull state of new music. Ouch.

The voice of Oasis has been shooting his mouth off again - and this time he claims that people who like Coldplay and Radiohead are "boring and ugly". Speaking to The Times, Liam Gallagher ventured forth a couple of opinions about the current state of music and his own life.

Amazingly, the younger Gallagher is now off drink and drugs free and goes running on a daily basis. But this doesn't mean he's wimped out."I’ve mellowed, but not in the sense of liking Radiohead or Coldplay," he assures us. "I don’t hate them. I don’t wish they had accidents. I think their fans are boring and ugly and they don’t look like they’re having a good time."

With the seventh Oasis album,'Dig Out Your Soul', due out on October 6, Liam claimed that the public should "Buy it or don't fucking buy it, I'm not mithered either way." His thoughts on the current music scene were equally as blunt. "[I'm] not interested - I play The Beatles, the Stones, The Kinks, Neil Young, the Pistols. Maybe a bit of the Roses. Don’t like modern bands. Top Man music, innit?”
