Led Zeppelin Working On New Material?

added 27 August 2008 at 10.25

Jason Bonham says Led Zeppelin may record a new studio album.... The son of the legendary Zep drummer John has told radio station WCSX in Detroit that he, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones have been working on new songs since the reunion gig at the 02 Arena back in December. He says they've been jamming in the studio together, but Robert Plant hasn't been involved.

Bonham, who has just finished touring with soft-rock stalwarts Foreigner, explained that he had been making trips to Britain to work with Page and Jones since the band's well-publicised show at the O2 in December last year, but it was "too early to tell" what would be the ultimate result of the sessions.

"The possibility for doing something was on the cards from the moment we walked offstage," he said. "But obviously there were a lot of politics that needed to be ironed out. I've been over a couple of times, working with Jimmy and John Paul, doing some new material and writing. I don't know what it will be, but it will be something."
