Hendrix, The Police And Queen Enter Grammy Hall Of Fame

Twenty-eight new titles have been added to the much-prestigious library, running since 1973…
Jimi Hendrix’ rendition of ‘Star Spangled Banner’, The Police’s 1983 album ‘Synchronicity’ and Queens’ single ‘We Will Rock You’ have all been added to the Grammy Hall Of Fame.
The coveted library is now comprised of 826 titles, and Stevie Wonder’s classic ‘For Once In My Life’ has also been inducted.
Albums and singles are selected annually by a special member committee of what Grammy.com call “eminent and knowledgeable professionals”.
Previous entries include The Beatles’ ‘Abbey Road’ and Michael Jackson’s ‘Off The Wall’.
Many of the singles and albums will now become part of a Grammy Museum, which opens in Los Angeles later this month.
